Minimum Qualifications- Portfolio of credible work experience in early childhood special education (0–5 year old children);
knowledge of developmental milestones, assessment and intervention strategies. - College-level degree in Education / Special Education or related field (Bachelor’s degree minimum).
- Valid Hawaii teaching license (or Emergency Hire Permit) for PK‑2 Special Education.
- Strong communication, organizational and professional judgement skills.
- Ability to maintain an effective work pace under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Special Education license from the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board.
- Experience teaching in a PK‑2 school setting.
Upon hire, you will need a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit. If you do not yet hold a license, you must enroll in a State‑approved Teacher Education Program and complete it within 3 years of employment.
