Join BAYADA Home Health Care as a Habilitation Technician to serve as a Companion/Buddy and help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities develop independence in our local community.
OverviewWe’re looking for a Habilitation Technician to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities develop and maintain as much independence as possible. The meaningful work of Companions and Buddies fosters an environment where people with disabilities can thrive as valued members of their communities. No experience required.
How You’ll Make an Impact- Build long lasting relationships in a one‑on‑one setting a few hours a week.
- Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities, like Special Olympics.
- Support clients in developing their independence and achieving their goals (e.g., budgeting, socializing, shopping, using public transportation, exercise).
- Be attentive to meet the individual’s needs with dignity and respect.
- Ensure client safety and well‑being in the home and community.
- Have fun on Kauai as a supportive Buddy!
