The Medical Assistant will join the dedicated team of physicians and medical staff to provide the most caring, thorough health services to patients and families. You will perform a wide variety of patient care activities to clients of all ages.

• Obstetrical care including pre‑pregnancy counseling, medical, dietary and social service counseling.
• Pregnancy testing, prenatal care and referral services including genetic counseling and fetal diagnostic services.
• Family planning services: annual physical exams, testing for sexually transmitted diseases and birth control counseling.
• Gynecological services: routine exams, treatment for abnormal PAP smears and STDs, and evaluation and scheduling of major and minor surgeries.
• Assist physicians and medical staff in delivering high‑quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

• Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent experience;
  Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with one of the following:
  American Association of Medical Assistants ( Curtis), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Health career Association (NHA) or American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA);
  Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card;
  Must be able to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion of orientation period.
• Preferred Qualifications: At least one year of back‑office medical assistant experience in an outpatient clinic, physician’s office or related setting.
