On-Call Valet Attendant

Job Description Summary

The Valet's responsibilities include greeting guests, helping to unload luggage, parking cars carefully and returning vehicles quickly when guests are ready to leave. To be successful as a Valet you must have the stamina to stand for extended periods of time while remaining vibrant and friendly. A great Valet has excellent driving skills and good customer service skills.

• Open door for guests and visitors and assist them to enter or leave property.
• Monitor commercial and personal vehicle traffic such as guest vehicles, limousine, buses, and taxi cabs and give direction to them on property to ensure proper parking of vehicles so as to achieve efficient flow of traffic.
• Provide information and directions to guests concerning local area of interest and activities, services, property amenities, and hour of operation.
• Keep vehicles and vehicle keys secure and safe.
• Adhere to all company procedures and policies.
• Report all cases of injuries, unsafe work conditions, and accidents to the manager.
• Take and complete trainings and certifications in safety. Protect company assets and ensure proprietary information are kept confidential.
• Follow company standard procedure in welcoming and acknowledging all guests and visitors.
• Be expectant of guest needs and meet them promptly.
• Provide assistance to people with disability.
• Thank and show genuine appreciation to guests when necessary.
• Ensure cordial working relationships with other people.
• Work effectively and support team to achieve set goals.

• Must be able workin a fast-paced environment.
• Most of the work takes place indoors.
• Must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures - i.e., freezers, loading dock.

• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, and stooping. Climb ladders of various heights
• Ability to stand entire shift.
• Must be able to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 75lbs at a time occasionally.

• Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
• Must be flexible to work various days and various shifts of the week to include weekends, holidays, days, nights and overnight.
• Regular attendance in conformance with the standards which have been established by the hotel from time to time is essential to the successful performance of this position.

• No travel required.

$14.51-$19.53 Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills, and job specific/overall experience.
