Technician – Daifuku
Complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of Baggage Handling Systems and/or Passenger Boarding Bridges. Mentor, train, and assign tasks to other personnel in the absence of Senior Technicians and/or Supervisors while ensuring all safety and compliance standards are met.
Responsibilities- Perform basic maintenance assignments, including preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance, clearing system jams; conduct shift inspections, cleaning, and electrical/mechanical adjustments.
- Diagnose equipment failures under senior guidance, ensuring safe operation.
- Seek guidance from senior personnel and accept training and mentoring.
- Provide direction and training to personnel assisting in maintenance and repair; may act as lead in absence of supervisors.
- Read and interpret repair manuals, basic schematics, and supervisor instructions.
- Work in tight and/or high spaces using appropriate PPE and fall protection equipment.
- Follow all company and federal policies and complete all required training courses.
- Complete assigned forms according to established procedures.
- Assist with sweeping, cleaning, greasing, and other basic maintenance tasks.
- Perform additional duties as required by management.
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
- Minimum 2 years of mechanical or electrical experience.
- Ability to work a non‑traditional schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Previous work experience in an airport environment.
- Experience working on conveyors and/or passenger boarding bridges.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of common industrial concepts, practices, and procedures.
- HVAC, welding/brazing, and/or plumbing knowledge and skills.
- Minimum 2 years of electrical and/or electronic systems work experience.
- 3+ years of industrial mechanical and/or electrical background.
- Minimum 1 year of PLC logic experience and/or Industrial HVAC certification.
- Advanced computer skills.

Basic computer knowledge at an intermediate level working with Microsoft Windows, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Other Requirements- Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must obtain and maintain an Airport Security badge.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the Company’s insurance policy.
- Must comply with the ELS Drug and Alcohol policy.
- Must commit to working safely while accomplishing all tasks and promoting a safe work environment at all times.
Requires standing, walking, siting, and handling tasks frequently; lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and 10–20 lbs frequently. Tasks include climbing, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching, carrying, and pushing/pulling various loads. Specific duties and time requirements are summarized in job duties above.
