Airgas is Hiring for a Warehouse person I/ Non CDL in Lihue, HI. This position requires 80% driving and 20% branch operations.
Responsibilities- Complete customer cylinder deliveries via Hot Shot Truck.
- Receive branch inventory and assist the manager with cylinder filling duties.
- Move and sort materials on racks, shelves, or designated areas by hand, hand-truck, dolly, and/or forklift.
- Account for incoming and outgoing stock; use a computer to update order status, backorders, fills, and inventory.
- Pack parcels for mailing or third-party shipping; stock and track inventory.
- Perform duties as set forth in established policies and procedures; comply with Code of Conduct/Handbook and applicable laws and standards.
- Lead within the Airgas culture by prioritizing safety; package hardgoods orders (e.g., paint, welding equipment) for safe and timely shipment.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight; receive hardgoods orders and verify packing lists against inventory.
- Log and inventory incoming shipments from UPS and other freight carriers; ensure inventory is stored properly or shipped out as applicable.
- Fill and prepare store orders and customer/will-call orders for shipment via intra/inter-company transport.
- Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
- Attend required monthly safety meetings; coordinate with Purchasing regarding shortages and outages; maintain good customer relations.
- Maintain valid forklift certification; cylinder handling and propane filling/inspection; handling of hazardous materials.
- Conduct annual inventory accurately and timely; breakdown boxes and pallets as necessary.
- On an as-needed basis, act as back-up driver to deliver gas cylinders to customers.
- Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; customer service oriented and professional interaction with the public.
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet customer needs and management expectations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write routine business reports and correspondence and effectively present information to others.
- Good math skills; ability to calculate figures and amounts (discounts, percentages) and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.

- Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; minimum of three (3) years experience in welding industry and/or warehousing operations including shipping/receiving preferred; minimum of three (3) years experience using a computer terminal for shipping/receiving/inventory status preferred. - Must possess a clean and safe driving record with no at-fault accidents or serious moving violations within the past three (3) years.
