Warehouse Lead

Directs and controls the flow of work in the warehouse as directed by the department supervisor. Receives, stores, and distributes products within establishment by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Directs and controls the flow of work in the warehouse as directed by the department supervisor.

2. Upholds operational procedures with employees.

3. Solicits feedback from employees to find solutions to operational issues.

4. Assists with the training of new employees.

5. Reads receiving schedule, customer orders, shipping orders, and/or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

6. Conveys products and materials from receiving areas to storage or other designated areas.

7. Sorts and places products or materials on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequence such as slotting location and item number.

8. Selects products and assembles customer orders from designated slotting locations in preparation for final check and delivery.

9. Marks materials with identifying information.

10. Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards. Ensures all products stored and/or selected for delivery are free from damage and/or pest infestation.

11. Compiles storage and/or selection data for daily reports.

12. Prepare pallets for shipping with appropriate labeling information.

13. Performs similar and related duties as assigned by supervisor.

14. Uses the Company’s Mission/Vision Statements and Core Values as their guiding principles.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two years experience of distribution or warehouse experience, preferably in the food service industry.

Physical Demands:

Frequently required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
