Position Purpose: Associates in Freight/Receiving positions ensure the store is stocked and ready for business every day. They load and unload trucks, move material from the receiving area throughout the store, may operate forklifts and may perform critical functions for maintaining proper on-hands and pricing for our customers. Direct customer interaction is frequently required for some positions and excellent customer service skills are required.
The Freight/Receiving positions may include Freight Team Associate, Freight Team Lead, Receiving Associate and Receiving Support.
The Freight/Receiving role supports store readiness by stocking, receiving, and moving merchandise, and delivering quality customer service.
Responsibilities- Load and unload trucks and move material from the receiving area through the store.
- Stock shelves and ensure accurate on-hands and pricing for customers.
- May operate forklifts as needed.
- Provide direct customer interaction and maintain high levels of customer service.
- Assist in various Freight/Receiving roles as part of the team (e.g., Freight Team Associate, Freight Team Lead, Receiving Associate, Receiving Support).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to load and unload trucks and move material as required.
- Ability to move merchandise throughout the store and maintain accurate pricing/on-hands.
- May operate forklifts, depending on role and store needs.
