Nursing Clinical Adjunct Instructor

Summary of Duties

Assist and work at the direction of a faculty member providing instruction in a clinical setting in which nursing care is delivered to an individual or group of individuals.

• Facilitate clinical instruction of nursing students for 4-12 contact hours per week.
• Provide input to nursing student's achievement and progress according to Chapter 4723-5-19 of the Ohio Administrative Code.
• Supervise students in the clinical setting according to Chapter 4723-5-20 Section (E), of the Ohio Revised Code.
• Be committed to implementation of the philosophy and conceptual framework of the Nursing Program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Requires two or more years' experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse.
• Must be willing and able to work evening and weekend hours if needed and to teach clinical in outlying clinical facilities.
• Requires an appreciation for and understanding of the Community College mission.

• Prior clinical teaching experience in a practical nursing, associate degree program, or community college.

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Graduate of an approved registered nursing education program.
• Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio or Multi‑State license that is valid in the State of Ohio.

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Graduate of an approved registered nursing education program.
• Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio or Multi‑State license that is valid in the State of Ohio.
