ResponsibilitiesPosition Overview:
As a strategic consultative business partner, the HR Manager leads efforts to attract, develop, and retain talent through planning, developing, and implementing HR programs and processes. Reporting to the Director of HR, the HR Manager performs a wide variety of activities to support the manufacturing facility, working independently and as part of the broader supply‑chain HR team to develop, interpret, and implement policies, plans, and procedures.
- Collaborate with managers and employees to resolve employee relations issues and facilitate corrective actions.
- Develop programs, policies, and procedures to maintain positive working relationships between employees and management.
- Coach managers and supervisors on communication, performance management, rewards, and recognition, and provide training on HR matters.
- Review and analyze performance and disciplinary reports to ensure fair and appropriate corrective or developmental action; conduct internal investigations as needed.
- Interpret and develop human resources policies and procedures for consistency, compliance, and efficiency.
- Consult with facility leadership to resolve organizational issues.
- Lead the recruitment and selection process by developing and implementing procedures for interviewing, hiring, and placement of exempt and non‑exempt applicants.
- Collect and analyze exit interview data to understand turnover and recommend corrective actions.
- Track and report monthly and annual KPI data—including turnover, hours worked, and attendance—to analyze trends and identify continuous‑improvement opportunities.
- Design, implement, and monitor training programs for technical, administrative, and supervisory staff.
- Write job descriptions and ensure effective management and review according to process requirements.
- Plan and administer the performance management and salary planning process.
- Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are compliant.
- Contribute to the management team through participation in meetings and SRMP.
- Effectively manage and develop the HR team.
- Three to five years of experience as a Human Resources Manager.
- Knowledge of HR systems and payroll, including time‑keeping systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- B.S. or B.A. in Business, Human Resources, or a related field; M.A. or M.S. preferred.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment law and regulations.
