Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg - Telemetry - Observation

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med‑Surg Telemetry and Observation unit at Bon Secours Mercy Health. The role involves delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients with medical and surgical diagnoses in a fast‑paced environment.

Employment Type:

Full Time, Part Time, or PRN. Days and Nights Available.

Job Summary

The Med‑Surg RN is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:

  • Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status.
  • Providing care to patients with medical and surgical diagnoses.
  • Implementing clinical nursing interventions.
  • Applying a broad medical skillset.
  • Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.
  • Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
Essential Functions
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Collect vital signs, administer IV medications, and maintain accurate charting.
  • Perform effectively at a higher patient‑to‑nurse ratio.
  • Evaluate, update, and revise the plan of care to facilitate the achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
  • Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with state practice and Mercy Health policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Previous RN experience on a similar unit or in a Long‑Term Care setting.
Licensing & Certifications
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must be obtained before direct patient care).
