Part Time position available! Day Shift.
Job Summary- Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status.
- Determining the priority of the patient’s problems and needs.
- Implementing clinical nursing interventions to acute, critical patients that require intensive medical care.
- Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.
- Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
- In collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, and safely demonstrate basic knowledge of contemporary nursing practice.
- Provide episodic (outpatient) and inpatient (at designated units) pediatric nursing care where applicable.
- Apply knowledge of contemporary pediatric nursing practice and future innovations.
- Utilize nursing practice to care of pediatric patients that require nursing assessment and interdisciplinary team interventions.
- Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
- Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with state practice and organization policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required).
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must be obtained before direct patient care).
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (required within 6 months of hire).
- One (1) year of professional experience practicing as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Recent medical/surgical, NICU, pediatric, OB, ED or critical care experience (preferred, not required).
- EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred, not required).
