Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) functions within the health system's mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures. The RN assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients during their shift. Key responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria, while making judgments based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Utilize age-specific criteria in all aspects of patient care.
- Support and direct non-RN staff in patient care activities.
- Demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes.
- 2+ years of OB experience - Required
- Completion of 1 travel assignment - Required
- Ability to function as a 1st assist and scrub OB - Highly Preferred
- Current Ohio RN License or Compact RN License - Required
- Active American Heart Association BLS - Required
- Active American Heart Association ACLS - Required
- Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification - Required
- Active S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification - Required
- Active Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Certification - Required
