Job Description:

This role involves traveling throughout the district to transport materials and equipment for preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and installations.

Responsibilities include:

• Inspecting, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, fixtures, controls, and equipment such as motors, appliances, fans, transformers, HVAC systems, laboratory equipment, fire and alarm systems, elevators, and lighting fixtures.
• Performing plumbing tasks including unclogging, replacing traps, valves, thermostats, and maintaining building facilities.
• Routine maintenance and operation of HVAC, mechanical systems, boilers, and green building technology systems, including inspections, repairs, and monitoring.
• Carpentry work such as constructing and repairing wood products, remodeling, and blueprint reading.
• Supporting miscellaneous duties like equipment operation, minor repairs, security system installation, and supply inventory management.

Qualifications include successful completion of post-secondary training in facilities maintenance or related fields, with at least 3 years of experience in construction or building maintenance including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. A valid commercial driver license is required if operating motorized equipment or state vehicles.
