Position Overview
Davey Utility Line Clearance is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson. The role requires a CDL holder and/or climbing experience and will serve the Northwestern OH region from Findlay to Lima starting January 2026.
Job Duties- Lead a 2–5 person tree crew in performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services for major electric utility providers.
- Prune treetops, repair damaged trees by trimming or removal, and remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
- Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines.
- Perform job‑site inspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work and tasks.
- Maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
- Mentor and train new employees.
- Love of the outdoors.
- Complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
- Complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Line clearance experience or other related tree work required.
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates preferred if required by state law.
- ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional preferred.
Full‑time hourly position. Compensation based on qualifications and experience.
