Spherion is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, and fleet coordination for commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects.

In this role, you will lead a team (2 direct reports plus seasonal help) to ensure job sites have the proper tools, equipment, and materials delivered safely and on schedule.

Working hours:

6:00 AM - 3:00 PM

• Warehouse & Logistics:
  Oversee daily receiving operations, schedule job site deliveries, and coordinate loading/unloading of company trucks and trailers.
• Team Supervision:
  Supervise warehouse personnel, delivery drivers, and material expeditors.
• Tool & Fleet Management:
  Track company‑owned tools/equipment, organize returns, schedule maintenance, and assist with fleet service scheduling.
• Inventory & Purchasing:
  Oversee inventory levels for piping, HVAC equipment, and fittings; assist with purchase orders and incoming material verification.
• Facilities Oversight:
  Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop and grounds, including basic routine repairs and coordinating seasonal upkeep (e.g., snow removal).
• Safety:
  Enforce workplace safety protocols, proper material handling, and OSHA compliance.

• Education:
  
  Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Certifications:
  
  Current OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Technical Aptitude:
  Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to assist in the shop as needed.
• Advanced Systems:
  Experience working with purchasing and inventory management ERP systems.

High School

1-4 years

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 5?7 years of warehouse supervision or management experience.
• Industry Background:
  Work experience in mechanical contracting, construction, HVAC, plumbing, or industrial supply distribution.
• Software
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficiency with basic purchasing, inventory management, or job cost software, as well as Microsoft Office.
• Equipment & Licensing:
  Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse/shop environment.
