Material Handler- Reach Truck

Lima, OH Distribution Center, 2599 Fort Shawnee Industrial Drive.

Starting Pay is $19/hr bi-Weekly Pay.

-3:30pm.

Some Overtime available depending on business needs.

This Material Handler position requires candidates to have prior Reach Truck experience and the ability to operate a Reach Truck continuously throughout the workday in a fast-paced distribution center environment.

As a Material Handler
, you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives. This position requires continuous operation of a Reach Truck and candidates must have prior Reach Truck experience.

• Unload incoming trailers from plant or suppliers of finished goods using hand or electric powered equipment.
• Check incoming shipments and place material in proper storage bin locations while maintaining proper stock rotation of materials.
• Process all types of orders (pallet, small package, etc.) efficiently and without error.
• Use computers, RF scanners and power equipment as well as following distribution best practices regarding efficient workflow/processing.
• Prepare shipping documents for all outgoing shipments ensuring all required inputs are entered into the Oracle Warehouse Management Software.
• Understand and adhere to all applicable DOT, OSHA, EPA, EEO, ISO and other PPG policies procedures and regulations.
• Participate in inventory, cycle counting, and audits as required. Ensure timely replenishment and identification of potential material shortages.
• Participate in safety meetings, safety observations, and all other required meetings.
• Perform minor maintenance as required on warehouse equipment including the electric/manual pallet jack, forklift and other special equipment related to the distribution center.
• Performs general housekeeping practices to ensure operation of a safe and well-maintained facility.
• Assists the Distribution Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor in the performance of selected duties or special projects as required.

• 1 to 2 years warehouse/manufacturing experience.
• Previous Reach Truck experience is required.
• Must be able to safely and efficiently operate a Reach Truck continuously throughout the work shift.
• Needs to have basic reading, writing, mathematical and communication skills to process orders and complete paperwork as necessary.
• Previous experience in paint and/or hazardous materials is a plus.
• Need to have good interpersonal skills, detail oriented, basic computer skills, and organizational skills.
• Repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs. and stand on one’s feet for extended periods of time.
• Previous fork-truck and hand-jack experience beneficial.
