Site Commissioning Engineer - Ballykelly

The Site Commissioning Engineer manages and executes commissioning activities for data centre projects, ensuring that mission‑critical systems are installed, tested, integrated, and handed over safely and efficiently with a satisfied customer.

• Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules which align with clients commissioning schedules
• Review design documents, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with contractors, consultants, and clients.
• Support risk assessments and method statements.

• Carry out, witness and verify factory acceptance tests (FATs) and site acceptance tests (SATs).
• Perform pre-functional and functional testing of:
  • Electrical systems (switch gear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, PDUs).
  • Mechanical systems (chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, cooling towers, pumps).
  • Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS).
  • Fire detection and suppression systems.
• Execute integrated systems testing (IST).

• Ensure systems comply with:
  • Project specifications.
  • Client requirements.
  • Industry standards and regulations.
• Identify defects and manage resolution through commissioning trackers.

• Coordinate with:
  • Construction teams.
  • Equipment vendors.
  • Design consultants.
  • Operations teams.
  • Prepare commissioning reports and test documentation.
  • Track progress against commissioning schedules.

• Verify completion of all commissioning activities.
• Compile operation and maintenance (O&M) documentation.
• Support client training and final handover.
• Ensure all systems are ready for live operation.
