Job Description

NWCare is a Northern Ireland based company.

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Care Workers to join our team in Limavady/Derry/Londonderry (Waterside and Cityside areas). This role involves providing high‑quality support and assistance to individuals in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, and well‑being. All positions are paid and offer an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver personalised care plans tailored to each individual’s needs, including assistance with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
  • Support Service Users with medication administration and health monitoring as required.
  • Assist with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
  • Document care activities accurately and report any concerns to senior staff.

Criteria for this role is that you apply for an Enhanced AccessNI certificate.

Working Pattern

We work off a 4/3 rota pattern:

  • Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday
  • Week 2 – Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Qualifications and Skills
  • Full driving licence and access to a motor vehicle
  • Able to promote and deliver person‑centred care
  • Able to promote dignity and respect when delivering care
  • Be well‑organised, professional and caring
  • Interested in working in the community within Health and Social Care
  • Care about the community they live in

QCF level 3 in Health & Social Care
