Drenagh Sawmills, established in 1971 is a family owned business located in Limavady. The Company produces an innovative range of bespoke timber products for use in the fencing, landscaping, pallet & packaging markets in the UK and Ireland. We are seeking applications for the post of: YARD / PRODUCTION OPERATIVE This is a dual-role position, with duties undertaken in either the yard or production areas depending on the Company's operational requirements.

Responsibilities will include:
General yard duties, including handling, stacking and organising timber products. Preparing customer orders, serving customers and loading/unloading vehicles. Forklift operation and assisting with the operation of the timber treatment plant. Operation and set up of sawmill machinery. Assisting in routine machine maintenance and record keeping. Essential criteria:
Previous experience working in a yard environment. Forklift operating experience. Ability to work on own initiative, be flexible, hardworking, conscientious and reliable. Good health and safety awareness. Willingness to undertake duties in either yard or production operations as required. Desirable criteria:
Experience in loading and unloading vehicles, preparing customer orders and dealing with customers. Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or woodworking environment, basic knowledge of timber products. Basic mechanical or electrical knowledge or experience would be advantageous.
