• Driving Licence
  :
  Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points – you’ll be driving a Royal Mail van as part of your round.
• Physical Fitness
  :
  Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.

As a Post Person with Driving, you’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, ensuring letters and parcels are delivered come rain or shine. You’ll drive round your delivery area, completing parts of your route on foot, providing exceptional service and ensuring every item reaches its destination safely.

You’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.

While large parts of the role involves walking, driving a Royal Mail delivery van is also a key requirement. This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy being outdoors and staying active throughout the day.

• Day Shift – Starts and finishes between 05:31 and 19:59: £13.69
• Dawn Shift – Starts between 02:01 and 04:00: £14.61
• Early 0500 – Starts between 04:01 and 05:00: £14.61
• Early 0530 – Starts between 05:01 and 05:30: £14.61
• Evening – Finishes between 20:00 and 21:39: £14.38
• Lates – Finishes between 21:40 and 01:59: £15.14
• Nights – Three hours across 23:00 to 05:00: £16.44
