As a Warehouse Operative with Trade Counter Sales, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently, while also assisting customers and processing sales orders. Position Details Role:

Location:

Duncrue, Belfast Rate: £15.00 per hour

Hours:

Monday - Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm | Friday, 8:00am to 2:30pm Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Key Responsibilities Offloading and sorting incoming deliveries and goods safely and efficiently Receiving stock into the warehouse and checking deliveries for damages and quantity discrepancies Storing materials and products within designated racking locations Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch Loading vehicles and preparing freight for shipment Operating a counterbalance forklift truck safely and carrying out routine equipment checks Assisting customers at the trade counter and providing excellent customer service Processing sales orders and payments using point-of-sale (POS) systems Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting inventory control activities Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and ensuring a safe working environment Assisting with general day-to-day duties as directed by management

Essential Criteria Valid Counterbalance forklift licence Previous experience working within a warehouse or distribution environment Strong computer skills and confidence using point-of-sale systems Good literacy, numeracy, and customer service skills Self-motivated with a strong work ethic Flexible approach to work during busy and seasonal periods Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Desirable Criteria Previous trade counter or sales experience Experience using warehouse management systems Knowledge of stock control procedures Previous experience within a builders' merchants, industrial, or distribution environment Ashton Recruitment is acting as a Recruitment Business.
