This position will receive an hourly differential (additional compensation) in addition to the base hourly rate.

• JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
  • Assists practitioner in performance of procedures, telephone prescription orders/refills, maintaining patient records and relaying test results. Performs delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a physician or mid-level practitioner.
• DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
  • Samaritan Lincoln City Clinic provides primary health care for all family members from newborns to seniors through their pediatrics, family medicine and internal medicine providers, with a focus on compassion, dignity and respect. The health care team may include doctors, nurse practitioners, physician associates, behavioral health specialists, medical assistants and other clinic staff members working together to help patients maintain the best possible health.
    
    They encourage and offer preventive care including annual exams, health screenings and counseling regarding health and lifestyle.
• EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
  • Current unencumbered Oregon Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic licensure required.
  • Healthcare Provider BLS required.
  • Experience or training in medical terminology preferred.
  • Lab/EKG experience preferred.
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred.

Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers.
