To receive, inspect, and verify all incoming supplies and equipment and delivers as appropriate.
QualificationsRequired:
- High school diploma
- Valid NJ driver license
- Per Diem Day
- Fills storeroom requisitions and carries or delivers to requesting departments
- Obtains authorized signatures for accepting supplies and deducts such items from computerized inventory system by keypunch input
- Maintains established inventory levels with aid of computerized reports and periodically takes physical count of stock on hand and reports any variances to the Materials Manager
- Stocks and maintains specified items in the General Storeroom in a clean and orderly manner
- Notifies Materials Manager of usage fluctuations
- Examines materials for expiration dates, removes expired material from shelves and notifies the Stores Purchasing Clerk
- Completes other reports periodically, listing such dates as shipment received, materials issued or requisitioned, equipment received, nutritional usage and back-order reports
- Files and maintains Receiving Purchase Order file
- Works along with Accounts Payable clerks to resolve any discrepancies on shipping documents
- Assists in taking inventory as required
- Makes minor repairs of items in stock and assembles minor equipment on occasion
- Logs and tags all hospital equipment
