RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Clinical Care Technician (CCT) for our Morris Cancer Center 9 at the New Brunswick campus. MCC 9 is a 32-bed Oncology Unit. All 32 beds are private rooms. In this unit, you will see a variety of medical oncology, surgical oncology, other blood disorders and an intermediate care patient population.

Qualifications Required
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) through American Heart Association.
Preferred
  • Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program preferred.
  • Certified nursing assistant preferred.
Scheduling Requirements
  • Day Shift, 16 hours per week (2 shifts per week), 7a-3:30p, includes every other weekend and some holidays.
Essential Functions
  • The CCT is a direct patient caregiver who assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care to patients including taking vital signs, EKGS, performing phlebotomy, assisting or providing patients with bedside care, i.e. bathing, mouth care, skin care.
  • Providing patient care, based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients in assigned service.
  • Providing for effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment and critical actions.
  • Ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient's care.
  • Participating in collaboration of our patient’s plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning.
