Honda Development & Manufacturing of America is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer in Lincoln, AL. You will ensure maximum reliability and uptime for high-volume automotive production equipment through data analysis, root cause troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct hands-on investigation and troubleshooting of automated production equipment and machining systems.
- Review daily shift reports, identify downtime gaps, and implement permanent countermeasures using PDCA.
- Lead machinery enhancement projects and evaluate new automation technologies to improve plant throughput.
- Manage investment and expense budgets to achieve department cost targets.
- Partner with maintenance technicians and production teams to promote equipment safety and reliability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Engineering or Technology (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, etc.).
- 0-6 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with automated equipment, PLC troubleshooting, quality gauging, and instrumentation.
- Strong technical analytical skills and desire to work hands-on on the factory floor.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
