About the Role

Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for your next challenge? LHH is excited to partner with a respected, long-standing client in Lincoln, CA, to find a talented Staff Accountant. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, values accuracy, and has a passion for fixed asset management.

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the organization’s day-to-day accounting operations, with a special emphasis on fixed asset tracking and reconciliation. You’ll work closely with the finance team to ensure all financial activities are performed accurately and in compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update fixed asset registers, ensuring all assets are properly recorded, tagged, and depreciated according to company policy and accounting standards.
  • Reconcile fixed asset balances and depreciation schedules on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, supporting management with timely and accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to track capital expenditures, project budgets, and ensure proper coding of invoices and expenses.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing detailed asset records and documentation.
  • Participate in ongoing process improvements and help implement internal controls within the accounting department.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, management, and external partners to resolve issues and share financial insights.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, with hands‑on responsibility for fixed asset management.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and best practices in asset tracking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex financial information clearly.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
