In this role, you’ll combine hands‑on engineering with advanced measurement and automation systems to drive quality, efficiency, and innovation on our production floor.

The role is a fully on‑site role located in our Lincoln, CA.

As our Automation Engineer / CMM Programmer, you’ll:

  • Design, develop, and support automated manufacturing systems, robotics, and process control equipment.
  • Program, operate, and maintain CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines).
  • Create and manage inspection routines, first article inspections, and dimensional reports to ensure parts meet all GD&T and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to troubleshoot automation issues and continuously improve equipment performance.
  • Implement process automation, robotics integration, and Industry 4.0 technologies to enhance throughput and reduce waste.
  • Support new product launches by developing automated inspection and assembly processes.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality standards through accurate documentation and calibration practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in automation engineering, robotics, or CMM programming.
  • Hands‑on experience with CMM programming and interpreting GD&T.
  • Solid knowledge of PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
  • Exposure to robotics, vision systems, and automated inspection technologies is a plus.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and passion for technology.
