Entertainment Description
The Usher will safely and courteously escort Guests of The Venue to their seats and will assist with crowd control. Ushers are expected to offer the highest level of service to Guests, Team Members, and any other member of the public or administration they may encounter. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “ELITE” company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
2. Greet Guests and assist them in finding their seats. Answer any questions they have regarding events and the facility.
3. Scan and verify tickets of event attendees.
4. Perform tasks needed at bag and purse check area.
5. Assist Guests with locating exits and amenities such as restrooms and concession areas.
6. Assist Guest with limited mobility or other special needs to and from their seats.
7. Ensure that aisles, walkways, and designated seating areas are clear, clean, and safe.
8. Remain at assigned post throughout the event unless taking an assigned break.
9. Calmly assist with disputes regarding tickets and seats.
10. Assist Guests with complaints or concerns, and escalate concerns to Entertainment management when necessary.
11. Notify Entertainment management of any problems with facilities, supplies, and venue.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
1. Prior customer service experience required.
2. Must be available to work Friday and Saturday evenings, including holidays. Shifts will be scheduled on other week days as needed on a limited basis.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to learn venue layout, seating arrangements, and operating guidelines.
5. Ability to communicate effectively with guests, Team Members and management in English in both written and verbal form.
6. Must be at least 21 years of age.
7. Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
Physical Requirements:
1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
2. Ability to stand for prolonged time periods.
3. Ability to ascend and descend stairs without restrictions.
4. Must be able to lift and move at least 20 lbs.
Work
Conditions:
Work will be conducted in areas which include loud noises and temperature fluctuations, and may in the presence of secondhand cigarette smoke. Tasks will be performed from a non-sitting position. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area. Frequent contact with fellow Team Members and Guests is standard.
Work hours and days may be revised as company needs and workplace circumstances dictate.
