- Maintain and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in a manufacturing facility.
- Troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair machines and equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Dismantle machinery and equipment, locate cause of malfunctioning or mechanical breakdown, replace parts from stock or fabricate replacement parts as needed.
- Fabricate machine components for repairs and improvements of mechanical devices.
- Conduct diagnostic tests to ensure optimum system functionality.
- Assemble, install, and proactively maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment for efficient operation.
- Operate arc welder, cutting torch, hand tools, forklift, and welding truck.
- Fabricate, weld, mill, and lathe as needed.
- Perform general maintenance safely, maintaining a clean work area.
- Work may include various shifts and overtime, including weekends and holidays during busy production times.
- Minimum 2 years recent verifiable related work history or equivalent education.
- Proficient in welding, cutting, and using hand tools for repairs.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearings.
- Ability to recognize, report, and repair mechanical defects.
- Industrial mill maintenance experience is a plus.
