At Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division, you’ll be the go‑to problem solver who keeps production humming. This 2nd‑shift role blends electrical and mechanical mastery to plan, install, repair, and proactively maintain plant equipment.
Compensation- $30.37–$35.66 per hour
- +$1.00/hour 2nd‑shift differential
- Eligible for a variable incentive program
Compensation details are guidance only; final pay is determined by your skills, experience, and qualifications, along with market and business factors.
A day on the floor- Own preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems for production machinery.
- Lay out, install, troubleshoot, and repair using complex blueprints, specifications, and wiring diagrams.
- Apply practical electronics know‑how; stay current with advances in your trade.
- At times, direct part‑time helpers and operate a power truck to complete assignments.
- Champion safety: follow lockout/tagout, work at heights of six feet or more with proper fall protection, and restore all guards/safety devices after work. Perform electrical work in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
- Support environmental standards: follow procedures, propose pollution‑prevention ideas, keep the work area orderly, and uphold product/process quality and plant manufacturing principles.

- Completion of a maintenance mechanic apprenticeship with electrical training, or equivalent education
- At least 6 months as a maintenance mechanic with electrical experience in a manufacturing or similar setting
- Ability to operate a forklift truck
- High school diploma/GED from an accredited institution
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
- 120/208/240/480 VAC systems
- Motor maintenance, repair, and replacement
- Hydraulic systems
- Electrical diagnostics and repair; NEC familiarity
- Industrial automation troubleshooting
- Electrical/electronic systems and blueprint reading
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
- Press brakes
- PLCs (Fanuc, Allen‑Bradley)
- Servo motors
