• Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start-ups, required cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Responsible for opening the back door for deliveries.
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Hold store keys to open and close without management as necessary.
• Assist and coach other team members with warehouse and vendor ordering process, including opening the backdoor for vendor deliveries.
• Register all related sales on assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
• Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics (e.g., 1506, returns, empty package).
• Assist manager or assistant store manager in evaluating and developing displays, completing resets and revisions.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts in basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
• Ensure the Outdate program is followed with team members.
• Handle basic department pricing and make daily price changes; ensure signage supports accurate pricing; complete additional pricing tasks related to local regulations and compliance programs.
• Assist in bookkeeping activities: cash reports, counts, ledgers, bill payment as requested.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance; request repairs as required in manager's absence or as requested.
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement per policies; assist in stock rotation and restock outs.
• Have working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Assist at Pharmacy out window as requested.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Perform bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager.

• Serve as liaison between management and non-management team members by communicating assigned tasks when management is absent.
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)

• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• Consideration of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
• Obtain and maintain valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
