As the Assistant Store Manager
, you will work in an environment where customers shop for off‑the‑shelf or customized gifts. You will oversee day‑to‑day operations, staff care, and report directly to the Training Manager and Retail Shops Team Leader.

• Supervise, lead, and motivate employees
• Recruit and hire quality associates
• Provide first‑rate coaching and training
• Meet sales and profit goals
• Control expenses and inventory
• Display strong merchandising techniques
• Unload, receive, and stock merchandise
• Prepare and supervise in‑house production of confection items made in the candy kitchen
• Display an excellent customer‑service driven attitude
• Perform back‑office duties using a PC

• 3 years of prior retail management experience
• Customer service and selling experience
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience using an email service
• Ability to frequently lift up to 5 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to constantly stand, bend, reach, and work with your hands

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities at once
• Strong problem‑solving skills
• Clear and effective communication with customers, coworkers, and others within the organization
• Desire to be part of a performance‑driven team

• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
