Starting at $18.44 per hour (non-exempt)
About the Position:Provides direct support to case managers and supervisors through assistance with documentation, client visits/supervisions, and client advocacy.
A Typical Day as a Foster Care Family Support Worker:- Provide transportation for foster children and/or family members to necessary visits, court dates, or other locations as assigned to meet treatment goals
- Supervise visits between children and natural parents and prepares case notes
- Provide advocacy and mentoring services for children and families
- Act as a liaison between the caseworker and foster families and/or biological parents
- Complete necessary paperwork to document provided services
2100 W. 5th St. Lincoln, IL with willingness to travel and spend several hours in the field visiting client's homes, communities, and attending court. This office provides services to the following counties:
Logan, Menard, and Mason.
Schedule is flexible and non-traditional; based around the availability of youth and families served.
Does the Following Apply to You?- High School Diploma or GED
- Child Welfare Experience (preferred)
- Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Obtain an insured vehicle
- At least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license
