About the role:
This role of Group Administrator will manage a book of business, providing daily administration and maintenance of voluntary group insurance accounts with particular focus on billing and reconciliation of employee life insurance premiums. The ideal candidate will be a team player, works well in both team environments and autonomously. Candidates should possess high proficiency in Excel.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in accounting principles and exceptional organizational skills. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and timeliness in all tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications is essential, along with the ability to learn new systems quickly. This individual is a proactive problem solver who communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and demonstrates a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, along with experience in premium reconciliation or financial operations.
Major job responsibilities:
- Manage and Oversee Group Accounts:
Assume ownership of all daily activities on assigned group accounts, ensuring effective and efficient account management. - Billing and Reconciliation:
Monitor, audit, and adjust group account billing for accuracy and timeliness. Reconcile and post incoming premium remittances accurately. - Communication and Coordination:
Coordinate and communicate with necessary parties to maintain up-to-date account statuses and resolve billing discrepancies. - Record Maintenance and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all premium activities, manage group payment histories, and provide regular summary reports on challenges and service improvements. - Customer Support and Problem Solving:
Assist with customer calls and inquiries, draft correspondence, and proactively build service improvements to enhance customer relations.
Education, Licensure, Certification, and
Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (strong preference for accounting or finance) or equivalent experience in financial related industry a plus
- Previous premium and reconciliation experience or subsequent accounting classes, preferred
- Understanding of basic accounting principles, required.
- High proficiency in Excel required.
- Team player.
