Job Overview
Join our team at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services – make a difference in the lives of children and families. The Division of Children and Family Services is looking for a dedicated Administrative Technician to support Letter of Agreement contracts and essential programs for Nebraska families.
Responsibilities- Priority Tasks:
Receive service requests from internal staff to complete Letter of Agreement contracts, ensuring compliance with manager/governor rules and objectives. - Legal Documents:
Handle and complete service contracts following established Medicaid and Child Welfare rules and regulations. - Communication Liaison:
Interpret and explain program/administrative policies, processes, and guidelines to internal and external entities. - Staff Training:
Provide training to staff on best practices for identifying and requesting services for the children and families we serve. - Administrative Support:
Assist leadership with key administrative tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
- Minimum Qualifications:
Coursework, training, or experience related to research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency; business administration, accounting, customer service, or technical support, including computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management. - Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, social/behavioral sciences, or a related field, OR associate’s degree in accounting, finance, statistics, business administration, social/behavioral sciences, or a related field, with two years of experience in contract/finance procedures, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management. Familiarity with NFOCUS is a plus. In the absence of a degree, candidates must have at least four years of relevant work experience.
