Student Assistant-College Administration

GENERAL

SUMMARY:

The Student Assistant assists trained personnel in an effort to facilitate acquisition of technical skills and perform/practice beginning level skills in the student's area of instruction.

PRINCIPAL

JOB FUNCTIONS:

3. Performs assigned work tasks under the direction supervision of instructional staff.

4. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL

JOB FUNCTIONS:

In addition to the principal job functions contained on the primary job descriptions, the following duties are also required in the department noted above.

1. Carries out assigned duties as directed by supervising staff.

2. Performs assigned work tasks under the direct supervision of instructional staff.

3. Enters data into the administrative, financial aid and student accounts computer system.

4. Assists with mailings, photocopying and other clerical tasks as assigned.

5. Provides telephone and office coverage.

6. Files office documentation.

7. Assist in setup of classrooms and testing and trouble-shooting of college information technology equipment.

8. Ability to maintain confidentiality relevant to sensitive student financial information.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Must be a student currently enrolled in a course of study at Bryan College of Health Sciences. Prior education and experience dependent upon specific assignment.
