The role will lead cost negotiation and contract optimization, leveraging data driven insights, secure favorable terms, reduce spend, and maximize value from vendor partnerships This role will be managing the end-to-end vendor lifecycle, ensuring that supplier relationships are strategically aligned with organizational goals, compliant with policies, and optimized for cost efficiency and performance.

Position Location:

This is a hybrid role working partially in-office (Lincoln, NE) and partially from home.

What you do
  • Oversee the full vendor lifecycle, including onboarding, qualification, performance monitoring, and offboarding.
  • Develop and maintain vendor scorecards to track KPIs such as cost, quality, delivery, and compliance.
  • Lead negotiations with vendors to secure favorable contract terms, optimize pricing structures, and achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align procurement processes with organizational objectives, while jointly evaluating vendor performance to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze procurement data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Play a key role in shaping procurement strategies that enable sustainable growth and operational excellence.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support enterprise-level sourcing decisions and leverage cutting-edge procurement technologies.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership on vendor performance and procurement efficiency.
  • Streamline procurement workflows to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Implement best practices in vendor lifecycle management, leveraging technology and automation tools.
What you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 3 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, or supply chain analytics required.
  • Strong knowledge of vendor lifecycle management processes and procurement best practices required.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities required.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP system desired.
  • Experience with vendor contract management systems highly desired.
