Do you love working with children and enjoy a job where every day brings something new? Stepping Stones Child Academy is looking for a dependable, flexible, and caring Full-Time Floating Teacher Assistant to join our team!
This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children of all ages, from infants to school-age children, and is excited to support our teachers and classrooms wherever help is needed. As a floating teacher assistant, you will play an important role in keeping our classrooms running smoothly while helping provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for every child.
Job Responsibilities- Substitute for classroom teachers when they are absent.
- Provide classroom coverage during teacher breaks.
- Assist teachers with daily classroom activities, routines, and learning experiences.
- Work with children across a variety of age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Support children's social, emotional, and developmental needs.
- Assist with daily transitions, meals, playtime, and other classroom routines.
- Help ensure the center closes smoothly at 6:00 PM, including completing assigned closing duties.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience caring for children in a childcare, educational, or similar setting.
- Enjoys working with children of different ages and developmental stages.
- Is flexible, dependable, and comfortable adjusting to changing classroom needs.
- Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with teachers and leadership.
- Is patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic about supporting children's growth and development.
- Is seeking a full-time position and is available Monday through Friday until 6:00 PM.
- Is willing to learn, take initiative, and jump in wherever extra support is needed.
