Stephens and Smith's Foundation Department is looking for a Project Manager/Estimator who is responsible for accurately estimating project costs and managing budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project completion. This position will support and work with the Department Head in a variety of tasks to include estimating residential and commercial work, coordinating projects from start to finish along with assisting in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and develop budgets, cost estimates, and other financial projections.

* Prepare billings, change orders, & project submittals.

* Office Management (inventory, ordering supplies, approving invoices, data entry).

* Organize, schedule, and oversee the activities of contractors and subcontractors to ensure that projects are completed within the agreed-upon timeframe.

* Provide oversight and leadership in all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction planning to completion.

* Ensure that all projects are finished within the established deadlines and financial resources allocated, while meeting quality standards and safety regulations.

Preferred (Not required) Talents:

* Proficient computer skills to include MS Outlook, Excel and Word.

* Thorough knowledge of construction industry standards and best practices

* Demonstrates the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills.

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent interpersonal skills.

* Self-starter with demonstrated ability to make decisions, multi-task and meet strict deadlines.

* High degree of professionalism.

Qualifications:

* At least one to two years of prior experience working in the construction industry.

* Possession of an associate's degree in a relevant field is preferred.

Physical Demands

Definitions:
Based on 8-12 hours per day

Continually 70-100% Regularly 50-70%

Periodically 20-50% Rarely - less than 20%

* Rarely endures persistent standing and walking.

* Continually required to use hands, fingers and wrist to operate office equipment and computers.

* Rarely reach with hands and arms.

* Continually required to speak and listen.

* Rarely lifting supplies and materials that weigh up to 20 pounds.

* Sensory Demands:
Regularly long hours in intense concentration, and long hours on the computer entering accounting information which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

* Continually utilize specific vision abilities required to perform the essential functions of the job, i.e., close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

* Mental Demands:
Regularly works under pressure meeting project schedules and budget guidelines.

* Environmental Conditions:

Continually works in a busy, open office and is faced with constant interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis.
