Construction Laborer - $25/Hour - WEEKLY PAY

Location:

Lincoln, NE

Pay: $20-$25/hour (depending on experience)

Hours:

7AM - 4:30PM Monday through Friday

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking laborer to join our team. This role involves a significant amount of physical labor and working outdoors in various weather conditions. You will play an essential part in the construction and testing of highway and roadside safety systems, working closely under the guidance of our research engineers and managers.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in construction, demolition, and setup for component and full‑scale testing of highway and roadside safety systems.
  • Engage in earthwork, concrete, and highway safety hardware construction.
  • Operate machinery such as bobcats, forklifts, dump trucks, backhoes, booms, compressors, and generators.
  • Assist in building barriers and barricades for crash testing.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to construct barricades.
  • Work alongside team members to haul materials across the jobsite.
  • Perform tasks such as picking up material, running errands, digging holes for posts, building barricades, and guardrails.
  • Engage in steel fabrication, grinding, and band saw operations.
  • Ensure attention to detail in all tasks.
Skills & Qualifications
  • At least 6 months of experience with hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, band saws, and grinders.
  • Ability to read blueprints and work instructions with at least 6 months of experience.
  • Experience working in outdoor environments for a minimum of 6 months.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
  • One year of experience in environments requiring precision.
  • Experience constructing roadside safety structures and highway construction for a minimum of 6 months.
  • Familiarity with construction plans/drawings and operating machinery for at least 6 months.
  • Experience in laboratory testing environments and surveying, grading, earthwork.
  • Interest in cars or 6+ months experience working with cars.
  • One year of apprentice work in any trade.
  • A two‑year degree in any skilled trade or engineering is preferred.
  • Experience in general construction with materials like concrete, steel, and wood.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and meet driver eligibility requirements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
