Elementary Self-Contained Special Education Teacher

Gothenburg Public Schools is seeking an energetic and compassionate individual to join our team!

We are the cornerstone of a proud, passionate, and progressive community where students and staff thrive in a positive and innovative environment. Our mission is to ensure the growth of all individuals by inspiring them to own and maximize their potential.

Our community is picturesque with tree-lined streets, homes full of character, manicured lawns, green parks, and an exercise trail that circles a lake. Gothenburg was voted an All-America City in 2019 and named Community of the Year in 2022. Our progressive community offers a quality of life desired by many but achieved by few.

This position focuses on supporting students with diverse learning and life-skill needs while helping them build independence, confidence, and meaningful connections within our school community. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with staff, families, and support personnel to create engaging, individualized learning experiences that prepare students for success in school and beyond.
