Aboutthe Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Energy Lead to join our Water, Environment & Energy Transition (WEET) service line and develop our energy offering in the GCC. The role will have a strong focus on transmission and distribution (T&D), grid modernisation, and renewable energy integration, with opportunities to expand into emerging areas such as green hydrogen and advanced energy storage.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and delivery of Egis energy services in the GCC, with emphasis on T&D infrastructure including high-voltage transmission lines, substations, grid connections, and distribution networks.
- Support business development and pre-qualification activities, building strong relationships with utilities, regulators, and private sector clients.
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of energy projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget targets are met.
- Integrate renewable energy generation, storage solutions, and innovative grid technologies into project designs.
- Ensure compliance with GCC regulatory frameworks and international best practices.
- Build and mentor a high-performing technical team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Monitor market trends and policy developments to identify new opportunities in T&D, renewable integration, and emerging energy technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field;
Master’s preferred. - 10 years’ experience in the energy sector, with significant exposure to T&D project delivery.
- Proven GCC market experience and understanding of local regulations, utility standards, and permitting processes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and secure new business.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluency in English required, Arabic an advantage.
