Job Description

As a Senior Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician, you will independently perform advanced-level construction materials testing and special inspections work with occasional guidance from a supervisor. You will also direct the efforts of less-experienced staff, travel locally to various project sites around the Omaha metro area, work in all types of terrain and weather conditions, and use a company vehicle for travel to project sites.

Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections and testing on large commercial and industrial construction sites.
  • Prepare daily inspection and test reports.
  • Review inspection and test data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with training and mentoring of less experienced staff, with potential to lead a team of field staff on large projects.
  • Work with engineers and clients to ensure specifications are being followed.
Qualifications

  • Excellent plan reading skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Associate degree from a technical or four-year school preferred.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in construction observation or special inspections.
  • Various ICC Certifications, ACI Grade I, Various NICET Certifications, Nuclear Gauge certifications required OR a bachelor’s degree in engineering with EIT.
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving history.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
