About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our Building Projects Design Management Office (DMO) in Amman, Jordan. In this pivotal role, you will be part of the structural design team of complex building projects, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and innovation.
- Oversee and manage the structural design process for large-scale building projects from concept to completion
- Develop and review structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for a wide range of building types
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, MEP engineers, and contractors
- Ensure compliance with local and international building codes and standards
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional development
- Conduct site visits to assess structural integrity and provide expert recommendations
- Implement innovative structural solutions to optimize building performance and sustainability
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts and progress
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering;
Master's degree preferred - Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building projects
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale construction projects
- Advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP
2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) - Strong skills in AutoCAD and BIM software (e.g., Revit)
- In-depth knowledge of local and international building codes and standards
- Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices and green building certifications
Membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g., Jordan Engineers Association) - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Fluency in English;
Arabic language skills are highly desirable
