Storm Technologies is looking for a Controls Engineer to join our team, delivering advanced automation solutions for industrial refrigeration systems. If you’re passionate about PLC and HMI programming, thrive in a hands‑on engineering role, and want to work in a specialized and impactful field, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do- Design, develop, and commission control systems for ammonia refrigeration applications
- Program PLCs (Rockwell Automation, Ladder Logic)
- Develop HMIs (Factory Talk SE/ME, Factory Talk Optix, and/or Ignition)
- Integrate and troubleshoot industrial control systems in compliance with IIAR standards
- Travel to customer sites (~40%) for commissioning, support, and training
- At least 2 years of experience programming and commissioning Rockwell Automation PLCs and HMIs
- Proficiency with Ladder Logic and experience with one or more HMI platforms:
- Factory Talk View
- Factory Talk Optix
- Ignition
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel as project needs dictate
- Familiarity with industrial refrigeration concepts and IIAR standards
- Industrial networking knowledge (Ethernet/IP, Control Net)
