Job Summary This position oversees the department that entertains our fan base at each home game at Haymarket Park which includes all aspects of the Entertainment Show during all home games during the season and assists the General Manager, Video Production Manager and Office Manager to fulfill all sponsor ships that involve promotional elements. Abides by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Oversees all aspects of “The Entertainment Show” from when the gates open each game until they close; this includes pre-game ceremonies, on-field promotions, in-crowd promotions, gameday scripts, promotional staff management, etc.
  • Identifies popular/new promotional items for each season and obtain a minimum of 3 bids from potential vendors to assure the organization is receiving the best quality and price for all promotional item buys. Works with vendors on the design, purchase, and delivery of all promotional items.
  • Researches, implements and executes new community initiatives and programs, while establishing and maintaining relationships with area nonprofits and other community organizations.
  • Researches and develops new promotional ideas annually and create/write content for all promotional related items for the pocket schedule, souvenir program and all other print and digital marketing materials.
  • Fulfills all aspects of sponsor ships that involve promotions by implementing and executing all promotional elements within advertisers’ sports marketing packages.
  • Participates in all promotional and sales meetings in season and during the off-season in order to create and implement entertainment menu.
  • Coordinates speaking engagements and community involvement/volunteer opportunities for players, coaches, mascot and front office staff to ensure the organization has an appropriate level of involvement at local events in and around the Lincoln community throughout the year including the off-season.
  • Contributes on the creative team, this includes taking ideas from concept to execution with the goal of creating fan engagement, interest in the team and assuring all fans have FUN during all (50) shows/games during the season.
  • Develops and implements creative and new sales strategies through community involvement to create new revenue streams.
  • Actively sells corporate advertising packages, season tickets, ticket packages, suite rentals and group tickets.
  • Exhibits strong communication with customers/fans, while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Implements sound fiscal and financial management practices, including annual budgeting and oversight related to accounting provided by the NEBCO Corporate Office.
  • Assists the General Manager in all business matters related to the success of the franchise.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities This position will oversee Mascot and other related entertainment personnel during the season.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field; and
  • 1 year previous work experience in a professional sports environment; or
  • an equivalent combination of education and experience.
