Lincoln Maine FCU is hiring a Loan Coordinator at its Lincoln location.

We are currently seeking a dependable and service-focused person to join our team as Loan Coordinator. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and helping members achieve their financial goals.
Position Overview:In this role, you will support the consumer and mortgage lending process from application to closing. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and exceptional member service throughout the loan lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Symitar experience is preferred but not required.
- Assist members with consumer and mortgage loan applications, providing guidance and answering questions.
- Review loan documentation for completeness and compliance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with underwriters, processors, and closing agents to ensure timely loan approvals and closings.
- Maintain accurate records and track loan progress using internal systems.
- Communicate proactively with members regarding loan status and required documentation.
- Prepare and deliver disclosures and closing documents in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Support post-closing activities, including document imaging and quality control checks.
- Collaborate with lending team to identify process improvements and enhance member experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Previous experience in consumer and/or mortgage lending strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of lending regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and member service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Symitar experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.
