Job DescriptionSupport essential lab operations and patient care behind the scenes and at the bedside. We’re looking for a detail‑oriented and dependable Clinical Laboratory Clerk to support the day‑to‑day clerical and phlebotomy functions of our dynamic Clinical Laboratory team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that lab services run smoothly and efficiently for patients and providers alike. Key Responsibilities- Perform clerical tasks including logging specimens, processing samples for reference labs, charting, filing, answering phones, and handling specimen pickup and delivery.
- Provide high‑quality phlebotomy services for outpatients (first shift only).
- Greet and assist patients and visitors, providing clear and compassionate communication.
- Maintain orderly and accurate records while managing priorities under direct supervision.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and contribute to an efficient and well‑organized work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong verbal communication skills to interact with patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work with patients of all ages, understanding developmental and comfort needs.
- Written communication skills for taking clear, accurate messages.
- Computer skills with the ability to navigate a Windows‑based environment.
- Solid organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed.
- Completion of coursework in medical terminology.
- Previous phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting.
