** Job Description*
* ** Safety Technician - Lincoln, NE*
* ** Job Duties
*** Support and assist the Health & Safety (H&S) Manager in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
* Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
* Organize and conduct safety meetings for colleagues.
* Assist in incident investigations and analyze accidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions to identify root causes.
* Maintain/update/upload safety records, including incident reports, training materials, and safety data sheets.
* Collaborate with shift management and department heads to develop and update safety protocols and procedures.
* Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety standards.
* Enforce known safety and health rules.
* Provide daily follow-up on all safety incidents under investigation.
* Support in any emergency or security situations.
* Build colleague commitment and enthusiasm for safety through effective leadership and influence.
* Participate and/or run the Safety Pillar Team.
* Other duties as assigned.
** Requirements
* ** 18 years or older
* High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
* Valid Driver's License
* Strong Organization and Communication Skills. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
* Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Sphera (Incident Tracking Database)
* Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
* Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc. with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
* Ability to work in elevated areas
* Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)    ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
